Which one is for you

Pick Dodosend if…

  • You live in Gmail

Dodosend is built on Gmail itself: your labels, Gmail’s search operators like from: and has:attachment, and every folder in one search.

  • You’d rather not touch the mouse

Every action in Dodosend has a key, ! shows the ones for the screen you’re on, and ⌘K reaches everything else.

  • You’re on Linux

Dodosend has a Linux desktop build, as an AppImage, a .deb and an .rpm. Spark’s apps are for Mac, Windows and phones.

  • Your calendar is part of triage

The week view is G then C away, and ⌘⇧A pastes your free slots into a draft as a sentence.

Pick Spark if…

  • You have more than Gmail

Spark connects Outlook, iCloud and other IMAP accounts. Dodosend is Gmail and Google Workspace only, for now.

  • You want several accounts for free

Spark’s free plan takes unlimited accounts. Dodosend’s covers one mailbox; more need the Multi-mailbox plan.

  • You read mail on your phone

Spark has iPhone and Android apps. Dodosend is a desktop app; on your phone you’d still use Gmail.

  • You need it today

Dodosend is in private beta, and invites go out a few at a time. Spark is open to everyone.

Switching from Spark

Your mail stays in Gmail, so there’s nothing to move: sign in to Dodosend with Google and your threads and labels are there. Keep Spark on your phone if you like; both work on the same account.
